Not your everyday rummy
The table is yours too
In Budapest Rummy the melds on the table are never finished — they are material. Take any card you like from them, as long as everything you leave behind still stands on its own, and build it into something better.

- A run of on the table — and two 8s in your hand.
- Take the 8 out of the run…
- …and lay it with your 8s. 5 6 7 still stands: both melds are valid.
- The joker is standing in for the Q — and the real Q is in your hand.
- Lay the Q in its place: the joker comes back to you…
- …and goes straight down again in a new run. A freed joker is played again in the same turn.
- Five cards in your hand: Q, K, A, 2 and 3.
- One single run: the ace is high and low at once — a run may wrap round the corner.

How a turn goes

Take a card
Draw from the pile, or pick up the card lying face up on top of the discard pile.

Lay down
Put down runs of one suit and groups of one rank. Your first meld has no points minimum.

Rework the table
Extend melds, split long runs, take cards and jokers off the board — as long as every meld you leave is valid.

Discard
End your turn with one card on the discard pile. Empty your hand first and the match is yours.

If the draw pile runs out first, the lowest hand wins: 2 to 10 count their face value, J, Q and K are 10, the ace is 11 and the joker 20.

The server referees every match: each move is checked, turns run on a shared clock, and if your connection drops you can return to your seat and play on.
Play against real people. When not enough players are searching, or someone leaves and cannot reconnect, a computer-controlled opponent takes the seat so the game never stops.
Coins are in-game only. They cannot be bought, they cannot be cashed out, and they have no real-world value.

Every match moves your RP — the number that says how well you play. Beat a strong table and it is worth more. From Bronze to Grandmaster each league is a share of the active players, and at the very top stands Budapest Legend: a list of just 200.

Before you sit down
Is Budapest Rummy free?
Yes — free to download and free to play. Coins are earned at the tables, from missions and from the daily bonus; they cannot be bought.
Can I win real money?
No. Coins exist only inside the game: they cannot be cashed out and have no real-world value. There is no gambling here — nothing to win but the next table.
Do I need an internet connection?
For the live tables, yes. The tutorial plays anywhere.
Will I keep my progress on a new phone?
Yes, if you sign in with Google (or with Apple on iPhone and iPad): your coins, level and ranked record belong to your account. You can also start as a guest and link an account later.
Which devices can I play on?
Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad. The game speaks English and Hungarian.
How do I delete my account?
In the game, open your Profile and choose Delete account — or follow the steps on the account deletion page.
